Define your product specification
Every successful import starts with a clear specification: product, grade, moisture level, packaging format and quantity. Sharing this upfront lets an exporter quote accurately and avoids disputes on arrival.
For dried meats and seafood, agree on drying method, size grading and packaging weights before production begins.
Confirm your import requirements
Check your country's rules for food of animal and plant origin. Most destinations require a commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin and, where applicable, a phytosanitary or veterinary certificate.
Inspection, payment and shipping
Third-party inspection before loading protects both sides. Once quality is confirmed, goods move by sea or air freight with documents released against your agreed payment terms.
